MaineStreamers Offer Seniors Fun and Education This Summer

May 5, 2009 — The Maine Township MaineStreamers program offers a variety of opportunities for residents 55 and older. All residents and property owners are invited to apply for free membership. Most activities take place at Maine Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Rd., Park Ridge. Members pay individually for whichever activities they want to participate in.

A program of interest is Women's Tea - Thursday, May 21 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon. The cost for this program is $3. At our get-together, Evelyn Brenner will present a musical biography of George Gershwin, which includes songs by Ethel Merman, Judy Garland, Nelson Eddy and many more of your favorite performers. You'll hear songs you haven't heard in years, with a few laughs along the way.

There's a lot of creative individuals out there. So come on in a join our basic card making class - Tuesday, May 26 at 1 to 3 PM The cost is $10 per person including all supplies. Come on and try a New and Fun hobby! Make three lovely cards that are easy to do! This is a FUNtastic class!
