2010 Election Information

Gary K. Warner, Clerk of Maine Township, reminds all residents that the Gubernatorial Primary Election is Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Polls are open 6 AM to 7 PM.

Clerk Warner suggests that residents consider voting early because it might be more convenient. The early voting period for the February 2nd Primary Election is January 11-28, 2010. Suburban voters have a choice of dozens of locations around suburban Cook as well as in downtown Chicago. The closest locations for early voting in our area are:
  • Des Plaines City Hall
  • Glenview Village Hall
  • Park Ridge City Hall
  • Skokie Courthouse
Just remember to bring a government issued photo ID such as a passport, drivers license or military ID.

In addition, voters can cast their ballot by in-person absentee voting, which will begin at the Clerk's downtown Chicago office and five suburban courthouses on Friday, January 29, 2010 and will end on Monday, February 1st.

If the voters can't make any of those days, they can fill out an application for absentee voting by mail, which is available in the Maine Township Clerk's office. The completed absentee ballot application must be received by Thursday, January 28, 2010 by the Cook County Clerk's office.
